Boston Red Sox owner Harry Frazee makes a secret agreement to sell Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees for $400,000 in cash plus other considerations. The sale will be announced publicly one week later.  The payment includes $125,000 with a quarter in cash and the rest in $25,000 annual payments at 6%, and a $300,000 loan using Fenway Park as collateral.
