On August 19, 1992, Bret Boone becomes part of major league baseball’s first three-generation family when he makes his debut at second base for the Seattle Mariners. Boone picks up a single in four at-bats. Boone’s father, Bob, played from 1972 to 1990, and his grandfather, Ray, played from 1948 to 1960. Bret goes 1-4 in Seattles 10-8 victory. His first hit came off Arthur Rhodes.
