New York outfielder Hideki Matsui decides not to play for Japan at next year's World Baseball Classic so he can concentrate his efforts on winning a World Series with the Yankees. In 2006, he will finished his fourth season with a .302 average, 8 home runs and 29 RBIs after missing most of the season with a wrist injury.
