The San Francisco Giants sign free agent pitcher Barry Zito to a 7 year, $126 million contract plus $18 million option for 2014 with a $7 million buyout. Several teams, including the Texas Rangers and the New York Mets, with their five year $75 million offer, came up short.
Zito struggled with his new team, admitting that he put pressure on himself to perform because of the large contract and needed to learn to just be himself.
