2012 Fantasy Baseball Trends Since the All Star Break

Here is a look at some of the more interesting stats since the All Star Break. This is the time of year were us Fantasy owners look to pick up players for the home stretch. Last year my best pickup was Javier Vasquez. With Vasquez on my team last season I climbed a few spots in the standings in every league I was in (that led me to my 1st, 1st, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes). Hopefully this article will give you an inside look at things as the Fantasy Baseball playoffs approach.

Since the All Star Break...

Miguel Montero is hitting .338 with 5 home runs and 19 RBI in 68 at bats.
Matt Wieters is hitting .231 with 1 home run and 5 RBI in 65 at bats.Ike Davis is hitting .235 with 8 home runs and 11 RBI in 81 at bats.
Adam LaRoche is hitting .329 with 6 home runs in 85 at bats.
Carlos Pena is hitting .178 with 2 home runs in 73 at bats.Brandon Phillips is hitting .368 with 3 home runs and 3 steals in 68 at bats.
Dan Uggla is hitting .159 with 0 home runs in 63 at bats.Ryan Zimmerman is hitting .390 with 7 home runs in 82 at bats.
Adrian Beltre is hitting .227 with 3 home runs in 75 at bats.Josh Rutledge is hitting .355 with 5 home runs and 3 steals in 76 at bats.
Asdrubal Cabrera is hitting .256 with 1 home and 0 steals in 82 at bats.
Jose Reyesis hitting .360 with 4 home runs and 5 steals in 89 at bats.Drew Stubbs is hitting .301 with 4 home runs and 6 steals in 73 at bats.
Carlos Gomez is hitting .322 with 4 home runs and 9 steals in 59 at bats.
Desmond Jennings is hitting .268 with 3 home runs and 4 steals in 71 at bats.
Coco Crisp is hitting .309 with 2 home runs and 5 steals in 55 at bats.
Matt Kemp is hitting .345 with 3 home runs and 1 steal in 84 at bats.
Ryan Braun is hitting .362 with 5 home runs and 4 steals in 69 at bats.
Mike Trout is hitting .365 with 7 home runs and 7 steals in 85 at bats.
Bryce Harper is hitting .183 with 1 home runs and 3 steals in 82 at bats.

Jason Vargas is 4-0 with a 2.00 ERA with a .208 batting average against.
Tim Hudson is 4-0 with a 3.16 ERA.
Doug Fister is 3-1 with a 1.80 ERA and a 31:5 strikeout to walk ratio. That was prior to his Saturday start.
C.J. Wilson is 0-2 with a 6.25 ERA with a .290 batting average against.

Tom Wilhelmsen is 8 for 8 in save chances with a 2.61 ERA.
Santiago Casilla is 3 for 5 in save chances with a 5.63 ERA.

Mike Napoli before the All Star Break hit .228 with 12 home runs in 241 at bats.
Mike Napoli since the All Star Break is hitting .261 with 5 home runs in 46 at bats.

Adrian Gonzalez before the All Star Break hit .283 with 6 home runs in 339 at bats.
Adrian Gonzalez since the All Star Break is hitting .389 with 4 home runs in 72 at bats.

Mark Trumbo before the All Star Break hit .306 with 22 home runs in 288 at bats.
Mark Trumbo since the All Star Break is hitting .256 with 6 home runs in 78 at bats.

Rickie Weeks before the All Star Break hit .199 with 8 home runs in 297 at bats.

A.J. Burnett before the All Star Break had a 3.68 ERA with 79 strikeouts and a .248 batting average against.

Mike Minor before the All Star Break had a 5.97 ERA (5-6) with 78 strikeouts to 40 walks in 92 innings.
Mike Minor since the All Star Break has a 1.46 ERA (1-1) with 21 strikeouts to 4 walks in 24.2 innings.

Jose Valverde before the All Star Break had a 4.11 ERA and was 16 of 19 in save opportunities.
Jose Valverde since the All Star Break has a 2.08 ERA and is 5 of 6 in save opportunities.
