Mark Paul of Yahoo Sports reports that the Phillies have traded Ben Francisco to the Blue Jays for Frank Gailey. Paul, a Phillies fan, likes this trade for the team.

Susan Slusser tweets "I hear Gio Gonzalez is the #BlueJays' focus, as I'd also heard last week. They have too many outfielders after today's trade. #Athletics" @susanslusser

Jon Heyman tweets "#chisox had something working w/ bluejays for quentin but it appears to be cool now. seeking other suitors." @Jon_Heyman

Richard Griffin tweets "Further to @Jon_Heyman re Quentin & Jays. AA & KennyW discussed fits for Quentin, Danks, Beckham & Santos. Settled on Santos ... for now." @RGriffinStar

Aaron Gleeman tweets "Blue Jays claimed reliever Jim Hoey off waivers from the Twins, per Terry Ryan on @1500ESPN." @AaronGleeman

Jim Hoey tweets about his move "I enjoyed everything Minnesota had to offer but it's time to be Canadian! At least I don't have to give up those bombs to Bautista." @JHOEY5

The Francisco trade is adding to the already deep Toronto outfield, so as Slusser implies, we should expect the Blue Jays to move some - maybe that will involve Gio Gonzalez. Gailey is 26, and never played about AA, Hoey is 28 and has a career ERA of 7.02.  Francisco hit 6 home runs last year with a .244 average.
