Buffalo Bills receiver Marcus Easley dkfeghdfs123

Bills receiver Marcus Easley was called up to the 53-man roster but likely won't
be activated.Buffalo Bills defensive end Chris Kelsay has hurt his neck in
practice, leaving his status uncertain for this weekend’s game at New England.

Coach Chan Gailey provided few details Thursday except to say Kelsay was
undergoing tests, and he’d know more on Friday. The 10th-year veteran was
escorted off the field by a team trainer shortly after the start of practice.
ORCHARD PARK — Monday started off just like every other Monday of the 2012 NFL
season for wide receiver Marcus Easley. When he arrived at the Bills’ practice
facility the day after his teammates had returned from Houston following their
21-9 loss, Easley was a member of Buffalo’s practice squad. However, he is now
drawing a full salary, and preparing for a game rather than just trying to help
his teammates get prepared for a game. “I’m very excited,” Easley said. “I knew
going into this season it was going to be an uphill battle for me. NFL Nike Bills Jersey

And then to get cut and have to work myself up from the practice
squad, but that was the situation at hand and I’m glad that this opportunity
finally came. ” The Bills picked Easley in the fourth round of the 2010 draft,
and that first year he suffered a season-ending knee injury in training camp. In
2011 he was ready to resume his quest for playing time when he was sidelined by
a heart condition during the first week of the season. This year, he looked good
in the off-season OTAs and mini-camps, but he really didn’t show much in
training camp or preseason except for a kickoff return touchdown in the
exhibition finale against Detroit. “I know I didn’t have as good a training camp
as I would have liked; things kind of fell apart for me,” he said. Fred Jackson

He was waived in the final cutdown, and when no one
picked him up, the Bills re-signed him to their practice squad where he spent
the first half of the year, time that he considers invaluable because it was his
first in-season practice time since he joined the team. “It was huge, tremendous
for me because I really haven’t played much football the last two years,” he
said. “I took it as a way to develop my skills and work on my route running. I
always kept in the back of my mind that I’m still being evaluated and I just
tried to carry that mentality day in and day out. ” Coach Chan Gailey said the
primary reason for the call-up was Johnson’s health. The team’s No. 1 receiver
is battling a deep thigh bruise suffered against Houston, and while he's
expected to play against the Patriots, the Bills needed some insurance just in
case, so they activated Easley to make sure he would be ready. I don’t know if
he’ll get active soon or not, but we’d like to give him a chance to have that
opportunity at some point. We just put ourselves in a position to do it if we
want to. ” Now it will be up to Easley to prove he can be more useful than
veteran Ruvell Martin, currently the No. 5 receiver. Quarterback Ryan
Fitzpatrick hasn’t had much of a chance to work Easley since OTAs, but he thinks
he can handle what’s about to be thrown at him. “I think everybody here knows
Marcus’ story and what he’s been through,” said Fitzpatrick. “He works extremely
hard and I think everybody was excited to know that he got called up.Brad Smith
