Cubs Look Like Winners In Soler Derby

"While the Cubs are considered the leader in the Jorge Soler derby -- executives with multiple teams are saying they have agreed to a $27-million deal with the 19-year-old center fielder -- they do not have a deal in place. It still may be weeks before Soler is cleared to sign and a mystery team could slip in at the end, as the A's did with Yoenis Cespedes. The White Sox, Yankees and Nationals are among those known to be involved. "
