Does it make more sense for the Rangers to pay Napoli over Fielder?

T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com believes that it's in the best interest of the Rangers to not sign Prince Fielder. Sullivan says that in the next two years the Rangers can afford it fine, but once the young pitchers reach arbitration, the Rangers will be forced to make some tough choices. Sullivan also supports the idea of bringing in Zack Duke to pitch out of the pen.

Jon Morosi of Fox Sports tweets "#Rangers optimistic about signing Mike Napoli to a multiyear extension this off-season, source says. He's eligible for FA after '12." @jonmorosi

Financially, it makes more sense for the Rangers to extend Napoli than signing Prince Fielder.  Napoli has good power, and position flexibility, and will be significantly cheaper than Fielder.
