Toronto Blue JaysJose Bautista thinks nothing wrong if Justin Verlander wins MVP

The Toronto Blue Jays’ out-fielder Jose Bautista has said that he has no problems with the Detroit Tigers’ star pitcher Justin Verlander being eligible for this year’s Most Valuable Player Award (MVP).

He spoke to the media and explained in detail and tried to describe his point of view regarding the choice of MVP.

Bautista said, “As the rules pertain, he's eligible right now, It's one of those things where he had such an amazing year that he's in line for the Cy Young and the MVP at the same time. I can't remember the last time I saw a pitcher have a year like he did -- maybe Pedro Martinez when he was in Boston.”

Bautista, who was given the Hank Aaron award on Monday along with the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Matt Kemp, spoke and told the media as Verlander is not the only one who deserves this prestigious award, as the he also performed relatively well and deserve to be nominated for 2011 MVP.bettor
