The time is now for the Phillies to aggressively make Cole Hamels an offer he can’t refuse. The Phillies have not had any recent contract discussions with Cole Hamel’s agent John Boggs according to ESPN.com’s Buster Olney in his insiders reportMatt Cain’s five year 112.5 million dollar extension raised the bar well above Phillies hoped it would get and a couple million above where they probably could have signed Hamels over the winter.
