All season long the talk has been about the Phillies inability to score runs.  The dirty little secret is they are 4th in runs scored in the NL and 2nd in the month of May to the Cardinals.  Also for the season if you look at the NL East the Phillies are second to the Braves in runs scored.  Now all that said, I think they do need some help offensively and more importantly the Phillies need to score runs more consistently.  Right now their tendency is to score runs in bunches like they did last night scoring 10 and then go 4 or 5 games struggling to scratch out 2 or 3 runs.   The Positive overall is their offense is on the upswing now that the weather is getting warmer.  Lets see if it holds up and if it does how long will it take for perception and reality to come together on the offense and the pitching which happens to have the 8th best ERA in the NL.
