Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports that despite signing Joe Nathan, the Rangers are still looking to improve their bullpen.

“They are going to get one more guy at the back end of their bullpen, I can promise you that,” said one source who has been in contact with the Rangers.

The Rangers lost out on Broxton and have inquired about Bailey.

Buster Olney tweets "As written last week, Rangers among teams pursuing Andrew Bailey. Reds, Blue Jays, Mariners, Red Sox among other teams." @Buster_ESPN

Jon Paul Morosi of Fox Sports writes that the surgery to Mitch Moreland could push the Rangers interests towards signing Prince Fielder.  However, the Rangers still have Mike Napoli and Michael Young to play first in Moreland's absence. Morosi writes that the Rangers priority is pitching.

It makes more sense for the Rangers to focus on pitching.  Their lineup is already dangerous without throwing a lot of money at Prince Fielder.  That money can be spent better on improving the bullpen and rotation.
