Rays Reliever Matt Bush Charged With DUI, Hit And Run

"Tampa Bay Rays minor-leaguer Matt Bush was arrested Thursday, accused of hitting a motorcyclist with his SUV while driving drunk and then fleeing the scene.

Bush, whose once-promising career peaked with his selection by the San Diego Padres as the top pick of the 2004 baseball draft, hit the motorcyclist from behind at about 5 p.m. on U.S. 41 in Charlotte County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Bush then drove off, according to the agency's report.

A manhunt quickly began involving officers from several different agencies. Bush was soon found driving on Toledo Blade Boulevard in North Port."
