Red Sox haven't made an offer to Papelbon

 

Weei's Rob Bradford reports  that the Red Sox haven't made a contract offer to  Jonathan Papelbon. Papelbon will become a free agent if the two don't come to an agreement before the exclusive negotiating period ends at 12:01 a.m. Thursday. 

When asked, Red Sox general manager Ben Cherington said, "Within the window? Tough to handicap. My impression is that Pap will probably get into free agency. I’m not ruling anything out, but that’s my impression." - WEEI
