Red Sox leaning towards picking up Scutaro’s option

"According to a source familiar with the Red Sox thinking tonight, the ballclub is leaning towards picking up Marco Scutaro’s $6 million option for 2012. Scutaro, who not only finished strong for the Red Sox but also was a steadying veteran influence, would likely be a valuable commodity on the open market." - Boston Herald

I think this is a good move for Boston, I would have diasgreed at the All-Star break.  At worst, he can hold the position and give Iglesias another year to develop.  Scutaro didn't start off great but he was one of the strongest finishers on the team.
