  Anonymous said: My grandfather, William Wallace, was the ticket manager for the Seals for about 30 years. He had been a great third baseman at St. Mary's College and was asked to try out for the pros. Unfortunately, his mother kept him from going but he stayed near the game. He died the year before the Giants came to town but had he lived, they told him he would have a job with the new team. I never knew him but understand he was a very well-liked man, a friend of Lefty O'Doul. 1:38PM 11/04/11
