Shintaro Fukushima Biography by The Baseball Page

    * Born February 15, 1907 in Tokyo, Japan
    * Died April 2, 1987

Shintaro Fukushima was inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 2000. He was twice the president of the Pacific League (1951-1952;1981-1986). He was also the president of the Mainichi Orions (1949-1952).

Fukushima also had a successful political career. He was a secretary to the Japanese Prime Minister and was also Japan's representative in the United Nations.
