Ted Lilly Might Miss Start Of 2012 Season
"For now anyway, the Dodgers aren't overly concerned about left-handed pitcher Ted Lilly missing his first official start because of the stiff neck that's sidelined him the last two days.
But the longer the issue lingers the more the chances increase Lilly might not be ready to start the third game of the regular season April 7 in San Diego.
Lilly, who last pitched in a minor-league game Wednesday, skipped a scheduled bullpen session Saturday and did not work out Sunday. As a result, it's looking bleak he'll be able to make his next start Tuesday against the Padres.
"As of right now we kind of see him missing that start," Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said."
