Tim Lincecum Sits With Stiff Back; Bruce Bochy Says He's Not Concerned

"Tim Lincecum skipped his scheduled bullpen session Tuesday because of a stiff back, but the minor setback wasn't enough to concern manager Bruce Bochy

"It's a pretty normal thing in spring training," Bochy said. "I don't see this being an issue at all."

Bochy said Lincecum threw off flat ground and was "pretty stiff," but it's not something the Giants' ace hasn't dealt with before. Bochy chalked it up to players standing around for long periods early in the spring as they go through drills.
