Yadier Molina won't negotiate during season

"The agent for Cardinals Gold Glove catcher Yadier Molina on Tuesday provided a timetable for negotiations regarding a contract extension by indicating his client would not engage the club in talks during the upcoming season.

Melvin Roman, who also represents Cardinals lefthander Jaime Garcia, clarified Molina's stance shortly after entering the Roger Dean Stadium complex and speaking with general manager John Mozeliak. Roman plans to remain in town several days but said he had no idea whether the parties would re-start talks about his client.

"It could be tomorrow. It could be two days. It could be two weeks," Roman said. "If they want us to come back, we'll come back.""
