Buster Olney hears that it's uncertain whether the Yankees are going to post on Darvish "Yankees unsure about whether they will be bidding on Yu Darvish. Their interest reminds me of their feelings about C.J. Wilson: Lukewarm." @Buster_ESPN

Jon Heyman tweets "Yankees win bidding for nakajima. About $2M" @Jon_Heyman

"#yankees not confident nakajima will sign considering low price he's likely to get. May stay in japan." @Jon_Heyman

Buster Olney tweets "Question is being explored on whether the Yankees may trade Nakajima, for whom they won the bidding; they really don't have a role for him." @Buster_ESPN

The Yankees have won the posting on Nakajima but their infield is set for a couple more years, will Nakajima be willing to take a bench role? Will the Yankees try to work out a deal with another team on Nakajima?

We hear that the Yankees might not post on Darvish, but we've seen just this week that they will post on players that they have no role for. I expect them to be in on it, maybe they will make a low offer just in case, but I find it hard to believe that they won't post at all.
