Hank Aaron is best known as home run hitter, but the he was also a consistent .300 hitter throughout his 23-year major league career. Aaron's 3,000th hit (a single) came in the second game of a doubleheader against the Reds, May 17, 1970 against Red's pitcher Wayne Simpson.
