Nishi-Nippon Railroad is one of the major railroad companies in Japan. The railroad owned and operated several Nippon Pro Baseball teams, including Nishitetsu (1943), the Nishitetsu Clippers (1950) and the Nishitetsu Lions (1951-1972).
