Wilson Alvarez
In his first major league start, Wilson Alvarez failed to retire a batter. Two years later he finally got his second start - and he tossed a no-hitter for the White Sox against the Orioles. The Venezuelan lefty won 15 games twice for the ChiSox, and 102 in his 14-year career, but never really blossomed into an ace. His biggest win came in Game Three of the 1993 ALCS, when he pitched a complete game victory over the Blue Jays.
