Bruce Bochy

In 2008, Giants manager Bruce Bochy became the winningest manager who was born outside of the United States, eclipsing the previous mark held by Felipe Alou. Bochy managed the San Diego Padres for a dozen seasons (1995-2006), guiding the team to one pennant and four division titles. A backup catcher for nine seasons, Bochy was a solid defender who handled pitching staffs with skill.
