Family Tree
In the second game of a doubleheader on September 21, 1934, Paul tossed a no-hitter against the Dodgers in Ebbets Field. In that game, Paul went 3-for-3 as he hurled his gem. In the first game of that twinbill, Paul's brother Dizzy tossed a three-hit shutout against Brooklyn. After watching his younger brother get his no-hitter, Dizzy quipped, "If I'd known Paul was gonna throw one, I woulda done it too!"
