Bucky Dent

Bucky Dent
One swing of his bat catapulted Bucky Dent into baseball lore. Dent's unlikely homer into the screen atop Fenway Park's Green Monster in the one-game AL East playoff in 1978, helped the Yankees vanquish the Red Sox. The three-time All-Star performed well in clutch situations for the Bombers, hitting .349 with nine RBI in the World Series in 1977 and 1978. Known more for his glove, Dent played 12 seasons in the big leagues, primarily with the Yankees and White Sox. He coached after his playing career, briefly managing the Yanks in 1989 and 1990.
