A true Irishman, born in Ireland, Patrick Joseph "Patsy" Donovan was a speedy right fielder in the late 19th century. He later went on to manage five different teams, with little success. A career .301 batter, he swiped 518 bases, playing mostly for Pittsburgh and St. Louis.
