Buck Herzog

Despite playing on four of John McGraw's pennant-winning teams, Buck Herzog was traded by McGraw three times. Extremely confident in himself, Herzog's aggressive style fit in well with the rough Giants, but he made enemies in all of his other stops. He played second, third and short in his career, and McGraw loved his versatility. He struggled in the World Series, except in 1912 against the Red Sox, when he collected more than half of his 23 career post-season hits.
