Brook Jacoby

In 1987, Cleveland third baseman Brook Jacoby became the first Indians' player to hit .300 and also slug at least 30 homers since Rocky Colavito in 1958. The slugger never hit .300 or hit as many as 20 homers in a season again, and was out of the game at the age of 32 in 1992.

Hit 32 homers and batted .300 for the lowly Indians. However, Jacoby limped to the end of the season, batting just .181 over hislast 160 at-bats. He also set a team record with 166 strikeouts.
