Bobby Jenks
As a rookie, big righthander Bobby Jenks emerged out of Ozzie Guillen's bullpen to become a valuable reliever for the White Sox in 2005, helping the team to the World Series. Though he saved just six games in the regular season, his 95+ fastball helped him notch four in the post-season, as the ChiSox captured their first title in 88 years. He saved 41 games the next season and continued to be stingy about home runs - he allowed just 10 longballs in his first 160 innings pitched. Originally a starter in the Angels organization, Jenks was snagged by the White Sox off waivers after the 2004 season.

In 2004, Jenks was ranked by Baseball America prior to the season as the No. 5 Prospect in the Anaheim organization ... missed most of season with an injured right elbow, making just five starts between Class AAA Salt Lake, Rookie Angels and Class A Rancho Cucamonga ... was on the disabled list from 4/20-6/23 and again from 6/28 through the remainder of the season ... last outing came in rehab assignment at Rancho Cucamonga on 6/27 ... was claimed off waivers from Anaheim on 12/17/04 (acquisition recommended by Gary Pellant and Bill Young)

He was 41 of 45 in save opportunities, and was one of the few Sox pitchers to have a solid season the year after their World Championship.
Factoids
In 2005, Bobby Jenks became the first rookie in major-league history to earn the save in the clinching game of the World Series in Game Four at Houston with a scoreless ninth inning.
