Kent hit a career-high .334, a mark about 45 points above his norm. He blasted 41 doubles, seven triples, 33 homers, and scored 114 runs. Despite the fact that he was in the top five in only one offensive category (fourth in RBI with 125), he won the MVP Award. I don't know what he did with the actual trophy itself, but he should have given it to Barry Bonds, because without Barry, Kent doesn't have the great season he had.
