Emil "Lefty" Mailho appeared in 18 games for the Philadelphia Athletics in 1936, all but one as a pinch hitter, notching but one hit while batting .056. He was most successful as an 18-year minor league player, including seven with the Oakland Oaks and San Francisco Seals. He hit .318 lifetime in the minors. Mailho was a resident of Fremont, California, and went into general contracting after his retirement from the game. He later became a building inspector for the cities of Fremont and Dublin.
