Roy McMillan

Such a wizard with the glove was shortstop Roy McMillan that despite his anemic hitting, he received MVP votes in five different seasons. He won the first three Gold Glove Awards presented, from 1957-1959, and set several National League fielding marks. His best seasons came in his decade with the Cincinnati Reds, where he earned two All-Star selections. He later coached for several seasons and briefly managed the Brewers and Mets on an interim basis in the 1970s.
