Intro

At the age of 25, Justin Morneau won the American League Most Valuable Player Award, in 2006. Mirroring his team's season, Morneau struggled early, but exploded after May, ending up with 34 homers and 130 RBI, to go along with his .321 average for the AL Central Champion Minnesota Twins.

Best Season

Morneau finished 14 points ahead of New York's Derek Jeter for the AL MVP Award.

Factoid 1

In 2006, Juston Morneau and teammate Johan Santana walked away with the hardware in the American League. The first baseman won the MVP Award, and Santana, a left-handed hurler, won the Cy Young for the Twins.
