Jamie Moyer
When he celebrated his 33rd birthday in 1995, Jamie Moyer had won just 59 games in the major leagues. But over the next four seasons the southpaw doubled that victory total, and after a stretch of eight straight seasons with at least 13 wins, he was poised to join the 200-win club. Tossing a variety of off-speed pitches, Moyer helped solidify the Mariners rotation as they reached the playoffs three times during his tenure with the club.

On August 27, 1998, Jamie Moyer defeated the Cleveland Indians for his 100th career victory. Coincidentally, he also recorded his 1,000th strikeout in that game.

Milestones
On July 8, 2005, Moyer won his 200th game, as the Mariners defeated the Angels in Anaheim, 10-4. Moyer's improved his career record to 200-148, for a .575 winning percentage. Amazingly, after his first six seasons in the majors, Moyer's record had been 34-54, for a .386 mark.
Notes
In 2005, Moyer was 10-0 with a 2.95 ERA in his 17 starts at Seattle's Safeco Field. On the road he was 3-7 with a 6.11 ERA in 15 starts. He made at least 32 starts and pitched at least 200 innings for the fifth straight season. He improved his record with the M's to 152-75.
