Paul O'Neill
Groomed in the Reds organization, right fielder Paul O'Neill enjoyed success with Cincinnati, helping them to a World Series title in 1990. But he was truly celebrated in New York after the Yankees traded for him after the 1992 season. With his picture-perfectleft-handed swing, O'Neill won the batting title in 1994 for the Bombers. In all, he hit .300 in his first six seasons for the Yankees, but his most important contribiution was as a field leader. A clutch hitter, he drove in 100 runs four times, and produced a seemingly endless string of multiple-pitch at-bats in which he wore down opposing pitchers before delivering a run-scoring hit. He won four rings with the Yankees and clubbed 10 homers in the post-season for the Yankee dynasty of 1996-2001.
