Jeff Reardon
For eleven straight seasons, bearded closer Jeff Reardon recorded at least 20 saves, from 1982-1992. For the Minnesota Twins in the 1987 post-season, the hard-throwing right-hander saved two games and won another in the League Championship Series, and pitched 4 2/3 scoreless innings in the World Series triumph. In 1990, the Massachussetts native achieved his lifelong dream of pitching for the Boston Red Sox, and he saved 40 games for them the following year.
