Pete Rose

With blue-chip big league blood coursing through his veins, Pete Rose Jr. tried to establish himself as a ballplayer and follow in his famous father's footsteps, but he never quite had enough talent. At the age of 27, the Reds gave him a brief look, more as a publicity stunt than anything else, and the left-handed batting corner infielder squeeked out a pair of hits, humbly adding them to the family total.

Best Strength as a Player
He was stubbornly determined to convince some team to give him a chance. The fruit doesn't fall far.

Largest Weakness as a Player
His glove was highly suspect. His father was able to make up for his defensive deficiencies by pounding out hit-after-hit and hustling. Pete Jr. handled five chances at third base in the big leagues, and he booted two of them.
