John Stuper
In the long line of eccentric pitchers, John Stuper ranked right up there. With the Cardinals he was known for his zany "John Cosell Show," which he performed in the clubhouse, using a beer bottle as a microphone. When he wasn't drawing laughs, Stuper was pitching pretty well, winning nine games for the '82 World Series Champions, and 32 overall in a brief four-year career that was ended by an arm injury.
Quotes From Stuper

Notes
From the press kit at Yale (2006):
"John Stuper reached the 100-win mark faster than any Bulldog baseball coach, overseeing the best four-year period (104-68) in Yale baseball history. The former World Series hero has enjoyed much success as the 12-year mentor of the Bulldogs. The 13th Yale head coach, Stuper has led the Bulldogs to three Red Rolfe Division titles and two Ivy League championships. His 1993 squad was his best, winning a school-record 33 games, earning an NCAA Regional appearance, and setting numerous school records, including 160 stolen bases in 44 games. He earned 1993 New England Division I Coach of the Year and Northeast Region Division I Coach of the Year honors. His overall record at Yale is 286-297, which puts him behind only the legendary Ethan Allen on Yale's all-time wins list."
