On September 11, 1932, Billy Sullivan Jr. teamed with pitcher Ed Walsh Jr. to form the battery for the White Sox. The two were the sons of Hall of Fame hurler Ed Walsh Sr. and catcher Billy Sullivan Sr., who had formed a battery for the Sox two decades earlier.
