David Wright

When he debuted in mid-season in 2004, David Wright immediately became an impact player for the New York Mets. The third baseman batted .293 with 14 homers and 40 RBI in half a season as a rookie, and drew raves for his defensive play. He hit over .300 and was an All-Star in each of his first two full seasons, helping the Mets to the NLCS in 2006. A versatile player, Wright stoled 20 bases and hit 20 homers in a season.

Quotes From Wright
